Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of WenWare, a time travel browser game where players explore immersive 360-degree historical scenes, then guess both when and where the moment takes place. By using WenWare, you agree to these terms.

Using WenWare

You may use WenWare for personal, non-commercial entertainment. You are responsible for your own device, browser, internet connection, and any charges from your network provider.

Some features may be available without an account, while other features may require an account in the future. If you are under 13, do not submit highscores or provide personal information. If you use WenWare on behalf of a child or another person, you are responsible for making sure that use is permitted and appropriate.

Fair Play

Do not abuse, disrupt, or manipulate WenWare. This includes:

• Using bots, scripts, automation, scraping, or artificial traffic.
• Attempting to bypass rate limits, security measures, game session protections, or asset protections.
• Submitting fake, offensive, misleading, impersonating, or automated highscore names.
• Artificially creating games, page views, ad views, ad clicks, highscore submissions, multiplayer matches, or other traffic.
• Interfering with multiplayer matches, other players, the leaderboard, or the service infrastructure.
• Copying, framing, embedding, mirroring, rehosting, bulk downloading, or extracting the game, code, round data, generated scenes, or panorama assets except as allowed by normal gameplay.
• Reverse engineering, probing, scanning, attacking, or attempting to discover hidden endpoints, secrets, session tokens, anti-cheat systems, or non-public files.
• Using WenWare to violate law, infringe rights, or distribute harmful code or content.

Highscores and Multiplayer

Highscore submission and multiplayer features are optional. We may reject, remove, reset, or limit scores, names, matches, or access if we believe they are abusive, fraudulent, automated, offensive, unlawful, or harmful to the game or other players.

By submitting a highscore name or similar text, you give WenWare permission to display, store, moderate, remove, and use that text as needed to operate the game, leaderboards, security tools, and related features. Do not submit personal, sensitive, confidential, infringing, hateful, threatening, or unlawful content.

Content and Accuracy

WenWare includes historical scenes, dates, locations, summaries, maps, and links for gameplay. We try to make the game accurate and useful, but historical interpretation, generated imagery, encyclopedia content, map data, and third-party sources may contain errors or omissions. WenWare is provided for entertainment and general informational purposes only.

Historical scenes may be generated, stylized, reconstructed, or approximate. They are not evidence, professional advice, or an official historical record.

Intellectual Property

WenWare, including its game design, code, interface, original text, generated scenes, branding, and compilation of rounds, is owned by WenWare or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, mirror, clone, sell, redistribute, or commercially exploit WenWare without permission.

Third-party materials, libraries, map data, encyclopedia content, trademarks, and external links remain the property of their respective owners and may be subject to their own terms.

Content Concerns

If you believe content on WenWare infringes your rights or should be reviewed, contact contact@wen-ware.com with the relevant page or content description and enough information for us to review it.

Advertising and Third Parties

WenWare may show ads or link to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, services, policies, or practices. Your interactions with third parties are between you and those third parties.

Do not use WenWare to create invalid ad traffic, fake impressions, fake clicks, automated ad interactions, or any activity intended to manipulate advertising systems or revenue.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how WenWare collects and uses information. By using WenWare, you acknowledge that information will be handled as described in that policy.

Availability and Changes

WenWare may change, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features, rounds, scores, multiplayer functionality, ads, or access at any time. We may revise these terms as WenWare evolves. The effective date above reflects the current version.

We may preserve or remove game data, session data, highscores, logs, or other records as needed to operate the game, investigate abuse, comply with legal obligations, or protect WenWare and its players.

No Warranties

WenWare is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee that WenWare will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, or available in every location or browser.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WenWare and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, service interruption, device issues, or third-party conduct arising from your use of WenWare.

Termination

We may block, limit, suspend, or terminate access to WenWare if we believe your use violates these terms, harms the service, creates legal risk, or interferes with other players.
